What’s a strategy in the first place? A strategy is a plan of actions that focuses all your efforts to achieve a specific goal. We all have goals and visions which all lie behind our strategy. This makes strategy one of the essential things in life. Having a clear strategy in life makes one more productive, focused, and effective. I consider life strategy a personal management system shaped by decisions, values, and beliefs. After setting goals and vision, one needs to think carefully about their direction and decisions. If we all think about what we want to be in the future, let’s say 5 to 10 years, and what we all need to make that happen, it all trickles down to a life strategy.
We all need a strategy to get decisions and actions in place to structure our journey in life. Whether you want to get a job, change your job, pay debts, build your house, drive your dream car, lose weight or grow professionally, think of a strategic plan. A personal strategy revolves around Maslow’s hierarchy of needs which has five major elements; self-esteem, self-actualization, psychological needs, safety, and belonging love. Your life strategy should focus on your vision, goals, values, and mission and should be developed depending on what you value and need more in your life. Your strategy answers the question, “How can I get what I want out of life.” Do you have a personal strategy?
